Pride Makes Mobile Team Collaboration Simple, Fun and Free

Pride Makes Mobile Team Collaboration Simple, Fun and FreeWhat is the name of your business and URL of your APP?

Our company is called DoubleDutch, and we make engaging mobile apps for the workplace. Our newest app is called Pride (http://doubledutch.me/pride).

A brief synopsis of the smart phone app:

Pride is a free, simple, mobile collaboration app for business teams. The app makes it easy for team members to share quick status updates about important projects and customers.

Pride offers a fun, engaging user experience similar to popular consumer-facing apps such as Foursquare. Adoption and engagement is driven by lightweight game mechanics (points, badges and leaderboards), which can be customized using a web-based dashboard.

Pride Makes Mobile Team Collaboration Simple, Fun and FreeDoubleDutch is the leading provider of mobile engagement applications for events, sales teams, and other enterprise workgroups. Used by some of the world’s most innovative organizations, these cloud-based, geosocial apps help companies tap into mobile, social functionality to boost productivity, create radical transparency, and maximize engagement. DoubleDutch’s product offering includes Hive, a mobile CRM app, Flock, a white-label mobile app for events and conferences, and Pride, a mobile collaboration app for business teams.

Android, iphone, blackberry, or windows?

Native apps are available for iOS and Android devices. Click here to find the app easily in the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store: http://ddut.ch/pride

Was your company started on a shoestring budget or funded?

Founded in January 2011, DoubleDutch raised a $1.2 million seed round in from top investors including Lightbank, Charles River Ventures, Launch Capital, Venture 51, Accelerator Ventures and more. The company has since closed an additional $2 million Series A-1 in April 2012 from Bullpen Capital, the FLOODGATE Fund, Aaron Patzer (founder of Mint.com), and Jawed Karim (co-founder YouTube), among others, for a total of $3.2 million.

Who is your competition, and what do you do better?

The closest competitors for Pride are enterprise social networking tools such as Yammer and Salesforce Chatter. Both of these services are designed primarily for desktop usage, but Pride on the other hand has been designed to offer a completely mobile-optimized user experience. Pride makes it easy to share quick status updates by tapping, not typing, on your mobile phone.

As opposed to other enterprise social networks, Pride also collects and stores data in a structured way. Collecting structured data enables us to generate personal analytics and productivity reports. These reports give managers insight into what the behavior of a successful employee looks like. These behavioral models can then be used to create training programs for other employees.

Why would a small business, entrepreneur, freelancer, etc use your product?

Using Pride to share team updates has a number of key benefits:

(1) Teams can reduce the volume of email sent back and forth

(2) Social features enable real-time group collaboration, whether at your desk or on the road

(3) Sharing updates help encourage transparency and celebrate achievements at work

(4) Browsing the activity feed helps to on-board new team members, they can learn quickly what other team members are working on

Pride works best for teams of between 5-50 people, and is especially useful for teams that work remotely or spend time on the road.

Is this a free app or how much is it?

The app is completely free and we have no plans to charge for it, ever.

How do you sign up and manage your Pride network?

Setting up a Pride network is free and incredibly easy. To activate a Pride network, you simply sign up here using your business email address (e.g. [email protected]). The first person from your business to sign up automatically becomes the network administrator with access to the web-based dashboard. Once your network is activated, you can download the mobile app and start posting updates straight away. Anyone else who signs up for Pride using the same email domain will be automatically added to your existing Pride network.

You can customize and manage your network at any time (create or delete user accounts, download productivity reports, set up custom points and badges, etc.) by logging into the web-based dashboard.
