Why did I write this book?

After spending over 40 years leading organizations and working with other leaders, I realized that the ability to create results was often blocked, or made more difficult because of the framework we held about how results manifest. Our view that achieving results by managing life like a great machine of production was preventing us from understanding and working with all the forces of manifestation. It was through my lifelong quest to understand how we, as individuals and organizations, create results and manifest our destiny that lead to the birth of The Living Organization® Trilogy.

Do you do your own marketing or PR? What is a good marketing / PR strategy for a budding author?

Yes we do. I have found that an Amazon Launch campaign is a very important component for any author, new or existing. It seems Amazon is changing the rules of the game. I would make heavy and appropriate use of all social media sites in promoting the book. I would suggest that the book be placed in a pre-order status while the social media is building momentum.

I have also found that working with a traditional PR campaign, seeking radio interviews, book reviews, articles etc. is also very important. This should be done in addition to the social media efforts. The use of PR should be a foundation to building a speaking platform: this is where the author can share his/her passion for their subject.

How many people are currently working, including employees (freelancers or independent contractors for specific projects)?

What is the best advice you never got?

That I didn’t get any advice about what it was going to take. If I knew what it would take to publish a book, I may have felt it was too overwhelming. The energy of following my passion drove me ahead because my mind was never fully aware of what I was facing. This enabled me to overcome each obstacle one at a time.

What is the one thing that you did right?

Self-published.

What was the biggest transition you had to make (i.e. new skill set, habits, abilities, focus)?

To learn to trust my inner knowing and listen to its guidance rather than the voice of constant self-doubt. I also had to learn to let others help me while still maintaining and never compromising the high level of quality that I believe in.

What book(s) have you read that you would recommend to others?

For publishing I would suggest the books and website of Ron Pramschufer and join IBPA (they have a magazine that really helps one understand and navigate the book publishing world).
