What came about that made them help in social change? Why was this social venture created?

I was raised in the military and I also served in the military. I realized when I got out that I did not have the resources or support I needed to pursue my corporate or entrepreneurial dreams. Many years later I was able to live the entrepreneurial life and felt the draw to help the women who serve and have served our country to have those same resources and support I had.

I looked around me and saw that I had some amazing, successful women who were my “team” and knew that I had to provide that same type of team for the women who give so much and ask so little.

How many years and how many people has this person helped? How many people need help?

This is a new launch of an existing business, with a new focus on specifically the women who serve our country.

There are 1.8 million female veterans in America and 5X that many that are serving IN and BESIDE the uniform today.

Women serve and sacrifice for our country n many different ways. Some fly helicopters, some process flight orders, others keep the base running while the soldiers are away; some wear the uniform and some prepare the uniform. All give some…some give all.

They fight, they heal, they comfort and they counsel.

They give everything we ask of them-and so much more.

…..and then they come home….and where are we? Where is the support after the uniform is shed? The halls are dark and the response is a whisper in the wind….we needed them and they answered….where are we now that they need us? F7 Group is here to be that voice in the dark that guides them….to a new path…one they have EARNED!

What is the cost per person that is being helped? Are you working on decreasing that cost by being more efficient?

Currently the cost for retreats and boot camps fluctuates, with the founders footing the majority of the bill so that the women who have served don’t have the whole expense. The goal is to have sponsors and private donors underwrite the total cost of the programs. We feel that women in the military have already paid a price and we want to be able to offer the resources and events at no charge to them!

The leadership team all currently work on their own time and their own dime! Cost controls are in place and will continue to be as sponsors come in, the structure of the organization is set so that funds are closely monitored and managed for the most coverage and widest reach.

Could others help you and how?

F7 Group: Operation Engaging Vision Sponsorships and private donors can help offset the cost to the women who have served. We are in the process of interviewing sponsors. There is a process of vetting potential sponsors to ensure the sponsorship relationship fits within the fundamental structure and ethics of F7 Group.

Grants and scholarships are always welcome.

We are in the running for a Pepsi Refresh Grant opportunity (voting ends Sep 30) – search for “female veterans”

What free online or offline tools do you use?

We make every attempt to utilize any resources that do not cost the organization or the women any out of pocket expense.

How many people are currently working, including employees (freelancers or independent contractors for specific projects)?

We have 11 women across the country who are on the leadership team. We are in the process of adding leadership team b=members, as the need arises and only if their skill set and mind set fit within the parameters of the organization and its goals.
