Trend Micro’s SafeSync Protects Companies in the Cloud

Written by Trend Micro

Trend Micro employs its 20+ years of experience in the security space to help consumers, small business owners and entrepreneurs protect their personal or company information from hackers looking for vulnerabilities to exploit for financial gain. The company offers products and services for networks of all shapes and sizes, including smartphones and cloud storage.

With the launch of the mobile functionality of SafeSync for Business in January 2011, business owners and entrepreneurs are able to back up and store an unlimited number of files and access them from an Android or iOS smartphone. SafeSync allows users to keep all files secure and manage them from any location.

Who is your competition, and what do you do better?

The cloud has become a trendy term amongst the tech-savvy crowd and becoming even more main stream with the help of advertising and marketing. Cloud storage companies have become abundant and consumers and business users are flocking to the likes of Amazon Cloud Drive, Drop Box, SugarSync and iCloud. However, Trend Micro was one of the early adopters of cloud technology and has been offering similar storage solutions for much longer than the new kids on the block.

Trend Micro’s SafeSync for Business was built on the foundation of security and offers cloud storage, seamless syncing across multiple devices, collaboration and more for consumers and entrepreneurs. When uploading confidential information to the cloud, businesses must be mindful of the risks involved when using an unsecure server, device or solution. With Trend Micro’s SafeSync for Business, businesses can feel confident in its encrypted codes every step of the way to the cloud.

Why would a small business, entrepreneur, freelancer, etc use your product?

With data breaches and trademark violations on the rise, small businesses and start-ups must be wary of the same threats. Hackers and scammers are aware that smaller businesses lack the comprehensive network protection enterprises often use, yet may house just as many assets and financial revenue. Trade secrets and intellectual property can be exploited; financial records can be stolen, all at the expense of the entrepreneur.

Trend Micro aims to offer high-end services that large enterprises commonly use to end users who lack the resources needed to protect their businesses. SafeSync for Business allows users to share, sync and upload data across multiple devices to the cloud without slowing down productivity or slowing down your computer. Businesses, entrepreneurs and freelancers are able to securely collaborate on projects, upload company data and access or manage from their smartphone with confidence. Users have no need to worry about data breaches, as Trend Micro deploys the same high-security encryption models as federal and state banks.

How could you effectively use these tools?

Small businesses and entrepreneurs are mobile, efficient and constantly communicating. To ensure optimal productivity, these users must rely on a product that enables real-time sharing and syncing while the information is protected from outside users. With SafeSync for Business, users can upload a project to the cloud on their desktop, review it on their smartphone and edit on the go while simultaneously syncing with all other devices. When working in a fast-paced environment, where everyone accesses the same information, it’s important for that information to stay updated and secure at all times.

Here’s a quick video that outlines some of the features of SafeSync for Business and how you can benefit from the service:
