Qhub – Advanced Q&A Software for Your Business

Qhub - Advanced Q&A Software for Your BusinessURL of Business Application

http://qhub.com

A brief synopsis of the website / application ?

It provides a user-friendly, community-based platform (a Qhub) to catalogue questions and their corresponding answers, for a niche market. It can become part of your own website or exist as a separate entity with its own, unique web address. It is designed to be used by absolutely anyone, without the need for any technical knowledge and is entirely hosted on our own servers, so there are no maintenance or space issues to have to worry about. It is the software that powers the popular question and answer site, www.blurtit.com

Why did you start this Company?

We held the belief that while existing Q&A websites are great for information sharing and communities, Qhub can offer higher quality content because the communities focus on one niche topic.

Who is your competition, and what do you do better?

Our closest competition would probably be Sponge or quanda, who both offer similar models. What makes us stand apart from them is that we have an online chat facility on our website, on which you can talk to someone directly. They’re usually able to answer any questions you may have or can talk you through how to get the most out of your Qhub. We find that, by helping people at the initial stage of setup, they make better use of their Qhub and it works more effectively for them in the longterm. Another feature that sets us apart from the rest is that we offer the facility to generate income through placement of advertising from your chosen network within the Qhub – if a user clicks on an advert – you earn a commission fee.

Why would a small business, entrepreneur, freelancer, etc use your product?

Aside from being very simple to use, several reasons spring to mind, and in no particular order:

Search Engines Love Q&A

Although Qhubs are designed to be optimised for Google, Bing et al, subdirectory integration adds weight to SEO campaigns by increasing a website’s footprint, which is indexed by search engine robots or spiders. Constantly updated user-generated content helps to promote organic growth in search engine listings.

Website Integration

A Qhub can become an extension of an existing site, providing an additional layer of integration (and stickiness) for visitors. Custom Subdirectory or Domain Forwarding allows a Qhub to sit either as an integral part of an existing website, structured as www.Domain.com/QhubName, or as an entity in its own right, rerouted through to a chosen domain. The latter would be structured http://QhubName.Domain.com.

Automated Alerts

Users do not have to sit in front of a Qhub each day waiting for something to happen. Questions are “tagged” with relevant keywords upon posting. Users choose a selection of “tags” that they wish to be notified about if a question is posted that contains their specified tag. Notifications can be emailed immediately or via a daily summary.

No Contracts

Qhub is maintained on a rolling one month contract, there are no lengthy 12 month contracts. Cancel at anytime, with no penalties.

Data Download

Data can be downloaded at any time without charge.

How could you effectively use these tools?

Our clients use Qhubs in a number of different ways, including:

Qhub - Advanced Q&A Software for Your BusinessKnowledge Sharing

Used as an internal tool to share and easily catalogue knowledge. IT Service Desks have utilised Q&A to streamline job turnaround by listing frequently-occurring issues and how to overcome them, freeing up the time of Technicians to concentrate on more complex problems. Staff can add their contributions to commonly-experienced issues. This in turn can reduces resource time spent in trying to resolve recurring issues.

Customer Service

Using Qhub as a customer service tool enables issues to be discussed and resolved in a transparent and timely manner. One question can be read by many; if there are recurring issues, solutions can be posted and revised.

FAQ Sections

Many companies manage their FAQ section using a Qhub – it offers an easily-catalogued platform with a logical structure. Visitors simply type in a question and anything similar is presented to the asker, giving them the option to view that question or continue to post their own.

Are there different pricing levels?

We offer a free 30-day trial, offering full functionality for the trial period. We have a Free Plan, which allows up to 10 members to contribute, a Pro Plan, ($40 per month) giving up to 50 members, widgets, API’s and advertising revenue. For larger businesses, we offer a SME Plan ($100 per month), giving 50+ members, design control, single sign-on and a dedicated Account Manager. Our Enterprise Plan ($500+ per month), gives our largest clients telephone support, online training, total website integration and customisation and Active Directory/LDAP integration.
