What is the name of the site(s) and URL?

A brief synopsis of the website / application:

Voices.com is an on-line marketplace for the voice over industry. We make it easy for businesses to work directly with voice over professionals.

Our website provides a job board, a talent search engine, talent profiles with demo hosting and a safe payment and file delivery service.

A short bio of your company:

Voices.com provides a virtual exchange connecting business with professional voice talent. Voices.com is frequented by radio and television stations, advertising agencies and Fortune 500 companies who all rely upon the Voices.com marketplace to search for, audition and hire voice over talent with the assistance of our SurePay™ escrow service and our award-winning website.

How long have you been in business?

Voices.com was incorporated as Interactive Voices in 2003; we changed our domain name to Voices.com in September of 2006.

Why did you start this company?

David Ciccarelli, Voices.com founder/CEO, who comes from an audio production background, felt that there was a need in the industry for an easier way to connect voice professionals with producers. He wanted to cut out the middle man, so to speak, and work directly with the talent. On this notion he started a small website called Interactive Voices which later proved to be a ground breaking venture.

Who is your competition, and what do you do better?

Voices.com has one main competitor, Voice123.

Voices.com provides a superior service. Our team is highly praised for providing better-quality customer service. We have a 24 hour or less response time to customer inquiries; their response time is 48-72 hours. We offer 4 different talent memberships; one is free and the other three have monthly or annual payment options. Free members at Voices.com are called “Guests” and are able to be listed in the Voices.com search engine and Voices.com Directory. Voice123 offers only a free membership and an annual membership. Their free members are not included in their search engine. Our team works together in the same office space in London, ON, in a call centre environment. Having our team all in one place allows the information and needs of our clients and customers to be addressed and resolved, in most cases, immediately. Voice123 mainly employs home-based workers in different countries, some of which reside in North America and others in South America. Voices.com offers an extensive on-line help and resources section as well including FAQ’s, Blogs, Podcasts and more while Voice123 only offers FAQ’s to their community and a blog. As compared to our competitor, we have different themes for talent website, more storage space for their demos and an escrow service, called SurePay, which protects the interests of both the client and the talent.

Why would a small business, entrepreneur, freelancer, etc use your product?

Voices.com makes it easy for producers, advertising agencies, businesses, and corporations to find the perfect voice for their project.
