You know, the gang of four that have delayed and watered down the stimulus bill, in particular, cutting aid to states that practically every economist agrees is highly needed and highly stimulative. Get out your stab vests, folks! Paul Krugman calls the centrists destructive. Ross Douthat calls it politics as usual. Brad DeLong gets positively apoplectic. Tyler Cowen goes straight for the right answer when he claims that senators don’t get the blame if the states suffer.
